Introducing…..
our new Interim Pastors,
Carly and Dan

Rev. Carly Stucklen Sather

  • Ordained as pastor & teacher in the UCC.
  • Grew up in Hinsdale Massachusetts where she learned to love traditional worship at the First Congregational Church, UCC.
  • Tired to run away from the Call to ministry by being a nurse's aid, a machine operator in a plastics factory, a janitor, an accountant, a babysitter, a database manager, a program director for an AIDS service organization, and a sex educator. But God found her anyway.
  • Was a (licensed) lay minister for over 12 years before ordination.
Graduated from Bentley College in Waltham Mass (Accountancy), and from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio (Philosophy and Religion).
  • Attended Eden Seminary in St. Louis, graduated from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis (Masters of Divinity).
  • Has served as an interim pastor in Granite City, IL; Zelienople, PA; Hamersville, OH; and Lebanon, OH before accepting a call to Central Atlantic Conference.
Loves to cook, but doesn't like to clean.
  • Loves music, but can no longer sing. Loves computers, technology, and multimedia "stuff". Prefers to be called "Carly" or "Pastor Carly" because it's easier for most people to remember than that 15 letter last name.

Rev. Dan Sather

  • Ordained as pastor and teacher in the United Church of Christ.
Is a "Preacher's Kid" and grew up as part of UCC congregations in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Ohio.\
  • Graduated from Heidelberg College in Tiffin Ohio with a dual major in Education and Psychology.
  • Is certified to teach elementary school through eighth grade, and has been substituting this school year.
  • Earned his Masters of Divinity degree from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis.
Has served churches in Greenville PA, & Cincinnati Ohio before being called to Central Atlantic Conference.
  • Loves gardening, but not mowing lawns.
  • Enjoys politics, and historical novels.
  • Is very attached to his black cat, Rudy.
  • Prefers to be called "Dan" or "Pastor Dan".

Together, Dan and Carly

  • Are the parents of two sons. In the Fall, Andrew, 16, will be a high school junior. Aaron, 14, will be a freshman.

    a new church start.
